Hearing about Dick Clark’s passing made me think immediately of his biggest fans- Flo and Kay, two identical, savant, twin sisters. The sisters were featured on a documentary in 2009 on TLC showing how much they worshiped Dick Clark; he was their God. They even went into a depression after the show 100,000 Pyramid was canceled because they never missed a day of that show (much like Judge Wopner for Rainman) I can only imagine they will be facing an even greater challenge with his passing. It’s always sad when an American Legend dies.. but all I can see is the twins in front of their TV hearing the news I just heard and falling to pieces. May Flo and Kay heal from his passing and possibly find another icon to idolize.

So funny! That was exactly the first thing I thought of also! I wonder how they are doing?? Actually, I hate to think what they are feeling right now. 😦 Sad!
I know. I mean he lived a nice long life.. I usually feel worse for the person that dies.. but I can’t stop thinking about those poor girls.. I’ll keep checking google to see if anyone has news on them.

My first thoughts were of the twins also, my heart is breaking for them. I pray that Dick Clark can come to the ladies and help them through the grieving process. Their love for him was true and genuine.
Seeing how much they loved him was so indearing. I fell in love with their innocence. What I remember the most from that special was when they tuned into his first new years special after his stroke and watching their reaction .. “oh, he doesn’t sound like himself” .. They touched my heart because they also have had to face a lot of tragedy in their lives. At least they have each other.
